Uczestniczki podczas warsztatów wyszywają swoje życzenia bądź znaczące dlań cytaty. Materiałem, na którym tworzony jest haft, to zasłona prysznicowa – materiał, który ma dwie strony.

Która z tych stron jest kulturowo ważniejsza? Czy ta, która styka się z naszym ciałem podczas kąpieli i daje poczucie intymności, czy ta, która widziana jest z zewnątrz?

Balansując między znaczeniami „dwóch stron” – zasłony, haftu, tego co zakryte i odkryte – podczas warsztatu uczestniczki odnoszą się do prezentowanej na wystawie pracy: sukienki, uszytej przez Proszczuk z jagnięcych błon oraz wyhaftowanej czerwoną nicią.

Warsztat otworzyły pole do przedyskutowania i twórczego przepracowania pytań o tradycyjne role przypisywane kobietom w kulturze żydowskiej i chrześcijańskiej – oraz znaczenie związanych z nimi rytuałów.

Participants during the workshop embroider their wishes or significant quotes for them. The material on which the embroidery is made is a shower curtain – a material that has two sides. 

Which of these sides is culturally more important? Is the one that touches our body while bathing and gives a sense of intimacy, or the one that is seen from outside?

Balancing between the meanings of the „two sides” – curtains, embroidery, what is hidden and uncovered.

During the workshop, the participants refer to the work presented at the exhibition: dresses, lambskin sewed by Proszczuk and embroidered with red thread.

The workshop opened the field for discussing and creatively reworking the questions about traditional roles attributed to women in Jewish and Christian culture – and the importance of related rituals.
